![]() China to launch iPhone in September
Finally it is reported the iPhone will be finally be made available in China as early as next month. China’s second largest cell carrier, Unicom, has paid $1.46 billion to buy 5 million iPhones from Apple. The deal was made possible between Unicom and Apple and the telco hopes the iPhone will help increase its subscribers and match China Mobile huge customer base. It is reported the iPhone will cost somewhere between 400 yuan ($59) and 1,000 yuan ($146). Finally no more fake iPhones for these Chinese customers. China has the largest amount of cell phone users in the world.
