iPad-controlled helicopter fun to fly, but has a steep learning curve.
The Parrot AR.Drone is a RC quadricopter with cameras attached to it built by Parrot. It is designed to be controllable with an iPhone or an iPod Touch.
It is made of plastic and foam and about a foot long. It connects to an iPhone/iPod touch using Wi-fi and has two cameras.
One is used to calculate speed and maintain horizontal stability; the other broadcasts live video back to the iPhone (or the iPod touch) screen.
